Sentara Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our integrated team of mental health professionals. Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture a positive, trusting rapport with clients, encouraging open dialogue and growth.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnosing and treating various mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
  • Create personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring culturally competent and evidence-based approaches.
  • Provide ongoing counseling sessions to individuals and couples, regularly evaluating treatment effectiveness while making necessary adjustments.
  • Lead group therapy sessions when applicable, facilitating discussions that foster peer support and shared learning.
  • Monitor client progress through ongoing assessments and adjust therapy techniques as appropriate, ensuring optimal client outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to provide comprehensive care, including referring clients to specialists when needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals seeking personal growth, couples looking to strengthen their relationships, and families dealing with complex dynamics. Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Strong therapeutic skills with a demonstrated ability to engage and motivate clients throughout the therapeutic process.
