We're Looking for a Wellness/Fitness Director (Senior Living).
As the Wellness/Fitness Director, you will be responsible for implementing standards of exercise, wellness, and senior health at the community and overseeing accurate documentation concerning programming and participation in the wellness program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain HIPAA standards and regard all medical or healthcare information pertaining to members/residents and employees as confidential.
• Encourages participation in IL, AL, MC & SNF.
• Ensures diversity in classes to cover all Pillars of Wellness.
• Ensure the safety and proper progression of members/residents participating in the wellness program offerings.
• Supervise and mentor Wellness Associate as recommended in order to maximize the delivery of wellness programming for the community.
• Directs and assists the movement of members to and from recreational areas to participate in scheduled programs.
• Design and implement incentive programs, home office initiatives, and educational opportunities as assigned. Examples include bulletin boards, presentations, new classes, etc.
• Educate class participants as to self-protection from infectious diseases and promote other safety precautions.
• Participates in and attends all required in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
• Work with Social Director to enhance & implement programming.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours of Work: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

TRAVEL: Local and out of state travel, including overnight stays, may be required from time to time to attend conferences, training, meetings, and professional development programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• College or university degree desired (preferably in Exercise Science or related field).
• Certifications in CPR, AED, and Group Exercise REQUIRED.
• Certifications from ACE, ACSM, AFAA, ASFA, NSCA or other nationally recognized and accredited fitness association preferred.
• Aquatic certification preferred.
• Three years' experience as a personal trainer desired.
• Three years of exercise or wellness experience with seniors desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.
• Ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
