Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide essential services from the comfort of your home. While the position is primarily remote, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team that meets regularly for case consultations, training, and professional development. You will utilize teletherapy platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain high standards of client care, confidentiality, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's unique needs and objectives.
• Deliver therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, tailored to individuals, groups, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.
• Work collaboratively with a team of case managers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all clients, optimizing treatment efficacy.
• Provide timely crisis intervention when clients display acute distress or face emergencies, utilizing effective de-escalation techniques and supportive counseling.
• Participate actively in community outreach programs and mental health awareness initiatives to educate and empower the public while reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist at Sharp Wellness Clinic, you will engage with a broad spectrum of clients, including individuals from diverse backgrounds and various socio-economic statuses. Our patient population often includes people dealing with mental health crises, addiction issues, and those seeking long-term therapeutic support. Your ability to understand and adapt to the unique cultural and emotional needs of clients will be invaluable in supporting their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid and independent professional license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• Hold a master’s or doctor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrate cultural competence, sensitivity, and a commitment to inclusivity in your therapeutic practice.
• Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and prompt documentation of client interactions and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities.
• Experience working within a Detox or substance abuse treatment setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with popular telehealth platforms and EHR systems to foster efficient remote service delivery.
• An active involvement in advocacy or community education around mental health issues is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
