Position Overview

Sentara Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. Work Environment

This remote position allows the LMFT to work from the comfort of their own location while still being an integral part of our collaborative team. At Sentara Wellness Center, we utilize advanced telehealth technologies to provide our services. Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a positive, trusting rapport with clients to foster effective therapeutic relationships.
• Diagnose and treat patients presenting with various mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
• Create individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs, preferences, and circumstances.
• Conduct regular therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families, employing techniques aligned with best practices in mental health treatment.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress through ongoing assessments, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide referrals to specialists or additional resources when needed, facilitating a comprehensive approach to client care.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to improve the quality of care and enhance collaborative treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Sentara Wellness Center, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Your role will involve addressing relational dynamics and mental wellness, encouraging families to nurture healthier lifestyles while tackling specific disorders such as substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and general mental health issues.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Massachusetts.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling and treatment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices for mental health and substance use disorders.
• Strong therapeutic and counseling skills, with a focus on motivating clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a remote setting, utilizing teletherapy platforms and digital tools for patient engagement.
• Prior experience working with diverse populations and understanding the cultural factors that influence mental health.
• Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans, as well as tracking patient progress in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Sentara Wellness Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
