Work Environment

This role allows for remote work, enabling flexibility while maintaining a strong commitment to client care. You will be expected to operate effectively within a remote setting, utilizing digital tools and software to communicate with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial evaluations of patients to assess their individual mental and emotional needs and develop customized treatment plans tailored to their specific circumstances.

  • Engage in ongoing assessments and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure that the therapeutic interventions remain effective and aligned with patient progress.

  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions where you listen to patients' concerns, provide support, and guide them through coping strategies that promote psychological resilience.

  • Educate patients and their families on coping mechanisms for stress and trauma, empowering them with knowledge to tackle their challenges outside of therapy sessions.

  • Collaborate with various social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to ensure that patients have access to all necessary resources and services.

  • Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting significant changes and recommending adjustments to treatment plans when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients, which includes individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other emotional disturbances caused by traumatic experiences. Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

  • A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working specifically with trauma patients.
