JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Web Designer with a focus on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and User Experience (UX) to join our digital marketing team. In the mortgage industry, our website is our most important lead-generation tool; your mission will be to transform complex financial information into intuitive, trustworthy, and high-converting digital experiences.

  • Direct Response Design: A proven track record of designing for "action"—understanding how visual hierarchy and CTA placement impact conversion.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and how design translates into responsive code (familiarity with financial CMS platforms is a plus).
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to interpret heatmaps and user session recordings (e.g., Hotjar or Crazy Egg) to inform design iterations.
  • Industry Sensitivity: Understanding of the "human" side of mortgages—knowing how to use imagery and copy to reduce the stress of the home-buying process.
  • Experience in FinTech, Banking, or Real Estate.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) as they relate to financial services.
  • Experience designing for mobile-first users, as many borrowers start their journey on smartphones.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Capture Design: Design high-performing landing pages, lead-capture forms, and interactive mortgage calculators that simplify the user’s path to pre-approval.
  • Trust & Compliance: Ensure all web designs adhere to strict financial industry regulations (e.g., Fair Housing Act, ADA compliance, and clear disclosure placement) while maintaining a high-end visual aesthetic.
  • User Journeys: Map out and design seamless end-to-end journeys for various personas—from first-time homebuyers to seasoned investors and those looking to refinance.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve our brand identity across all digital touchpoints, ensuring a sense of security and professionalism.
  • A/B Testing: Collaborate with the marketing team to design multiple versions of page elements to test which designs drive the highest volume of qualified loan applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Loan Officers and Underwriters to understand the technical nuances of mortgage products to ensure they are represented accurately on the site.
  • Hybrid Schedule: Monday–Wednesday in-office; Thursday–Friday remote

Compensation: $75 - $138K annually

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
  • Paid time off and sick days
