Summary:

The Payoff Processing Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of lease and loan contract terminations in accordance with the terms of the relevant payoff quote. This role involves data entry, document verification, data analysis, cash and account reconciliation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders to execute the payoff process.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process Payoff Requests:Accurately review, analyze, verify and process payoff termination quotes in the system of record. Ensure that all necessary steps, documentation, and tracking updates are complete and correct.
  • Data Entry:Enter payoff termination quotes into the system while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Document Verification:Review and verify documentation related to processed terminations complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Account Reconciliation: Analyze loan and lease terminations for accuracy, overpayments, application of credit memos and the potential refund of overpayments.
  • Communication:Liaise with internal departments and external parties to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to terminated contracts.
  • Customer Service:Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Compliance:Ensure all termination processing activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ Equipment Finance/Leasing or financial services experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience:Previous experience in lease and/or loan processing, payment processing, or related field preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Basic accounting/cash reconciliation
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent data entry skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook)
    • Intermediate skills in Oracle and Atlassian Jira, preferred

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation Range:

22.00 - 34.00 USD Hourly

The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
