Job description

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer
This is a deployed position in the Minneapolis- St. Paul area. (Telecommuter remote work location to be within reasonable driving distance to LM assigned suppliers as defined in agreement with manager).
* The suppliers are located in the Minnesota, but additional suppliers may be assigned as well.
The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components.
Candidate needs working knowledge background in GD&T, Inspection methods, Tooling, AS9100, AS9102. working knowledge of Six Sigma, preventive tools PDCA, PFMEA, Mistake Proofing and Gap Analysis.
Must have knowledge and effectively apply root cause analysis, Cause Mapping, Cause & Effect diagrams, Pick Charts and, structured RCCA for effective corrective action.
Goals are to lead the supplier through the process of developing and executing plans that ensure long term flow of defect-free products in support of LM Aero production.
The selected candidate will be accountable for collaborating with functional organizations and leadership at the supplier sites and at LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues, and for ensuring supplier performance is aligned with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements.
Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that may require special access.
