The Warranty Manager is responsible for directing all phases of warranty claims across the EPC portfolio. This role encompasses oversight of all warranty processes and policies, ensuring that effective procedures are implemented for claims management, reporting, quality assurance, and customer support. The Warranty Manager verifies the availability of necessary tools and materials, collaborates with engineering teams on design reviews, and confirms that all claims are processed and resolved in accordance with established standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary contact for all warranty issues
  • Support/manage Engineering, Procurement and Construction customer relationship and act as point of contact for warranty claims
  • Coordinate with internal resources and subcontractors to ensure all claims are addressed in timely fashion, within scope and while maintaining necessary financial spending controls
  • Manage warranty claims filed by Strata Solar Services with third parties including external construction companies, component manufacturers and subcontractors
  • Engage in customer communication including regular phone calls, on-site visits and email correspondence.
  • Maintain proper warranty records/documentation to ensure contract compliance and warranty requirements
  • Create and maintain component warranty documentation
  • Lead with compilation of regular reporting regarding component failure rates, improvement plans, warranty claim rates, average expenditure under warranty period, etc.
  • Design best in class warranty processes so Strata remains an industry leader in end-to-end warranty management
  • Manage a small team of direct reports and assist with headcount growth plans as our business lines expand
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee the production of multiple job sites. Ensure the safety of each employee; vendor; sub-contractor and temporary labor employees. Coordinate schedules with the construction department; engineering department and purchasing department.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Education:
  • Minimum: BA/BS and 5 years of warranty experience in related field

Experience & Skills:
  • Proficiency with computer and software applications to include but not limited to MS Office Suite, file sharing systems, accounting software systems, and Enterprise Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement of job methods and processes.
  • Ability to learn about new technologies and electrical components with minimal formal training.

Other Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctual and reliable; Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification
  • Must have a valid current driver license
  • Able to travel based on assigned projects, up to 95%.
  • Management experience with solar projects desired.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment and in the field. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds.
