The Opportunity

We are currently seeking Vibration Analysts (Category II or Category III) to join our expanding reliability team. In this role, you will support customers in reducing equipment failures, extending asset life, and improving operational efficiency through condition monitoring and predictive maintenance practices.

You will work closely with maintenance personnel, engineers, and operations leadership—both on-site and remotely—supporting multiple facilities and a variety of industrial environments.

Vibration Analyst – ISO Category II

Position Summary

Responsible for supporting predictive maintenance (PdM) and reliability programs through vibration data collection, analysis, and reporting for rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze vibration data using portable and online monitoring systems

• Perform remote monitoring across multiple customer locations

• Ensure data quality, sensor performance, and adherence to established routes

• Interpret FFT spectra, time waveforms, and trending data to identify common faults such as imbalance, misalignment, looseness, and bearing defects

• Maintain vibration routes, schedules, and measurement programs

• Configure basic alarm limits and measurement parameters

• Produce clear, actionable reports with maintenance recommendations

• Support PdM program management and maintain database accuracy

• Communicate findings effectively with maintenance and operations teams

Qualifications

• ISO 18436-2 Category II certification

• Strong understanding of vibration fundamentals and rotating equipment

• Experience using condition monitoring tools and data collectors

• Basic knowledge of alignment and balancing principles

• Ability to interpret vibration data and trends

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Vibration Analyst – ISO Category III

Position Summary

Leads and enhances predictive maintenance and reliability programs through advanced vibration analysis, remote monitoring, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead remote monitoring and oversight of vibration assets across multiple sites

• Develop, manage, and optimize PdM programs, including strategy and alarm setting

• Perform advanced analysis including FFT, waveform, phase, orbit, modal, and resonance studies

• Diagnose complex machinery issues such as gear defects, resonance, structural problems, and fluid-related faults

• Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations

• Integrate additional predictive technologies such as oil analysis, thermography, and ultrasound

• Develop and implement standards, procedures, and best practices

• Mentor and support development of junior analysts

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers

• Deliver detailed technical reports and strategic recommendations

Qualifications

• ISO 18436-2 Category III certification

• Advanced knowledge of vibration theory and machinery dynamics

• Experience with online monitoring systems and analysis software
