Location/Assigned Territory: West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland

This is a remote field sales role that requires extensive daily travel within this territory – if you don’t reside within this territory, your resume won’t be considered.

Objectives of this Role

  • Represent our company’s products and services to the veterinary market by educating the in-clinic/hospital veterinary team.
  • Consistently meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify new sales opportunities
  • Prospect and qualify leads, schedule appointments, and manage the full sales cycle to close new business
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge through effective presentations and objection handling
  • Tailor communication to individual client needs with active listening and clear, professional responses
  • Provide timely, accurate, and concise sales reports and updates
  • Anticipate client needs and deliver proactive, solutions-oriented service
  • Collaborate with the sales team to meet company sales goals and performance standards
  • Consistently achieve sales targets through structured processes and client-focused selling
  • Competency in utilizing CRM systems, Microsoft Office (Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Phone apps, and other electronic tools to manage sales activities and communication

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Proven sales experience in the veterinary sales market or medical device sales is required.
  • A reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and your own car insurance are required for this position.
  • College degree in the fields of biology, animal science, or related preferred.
  • Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
  • Demonstrated computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and general, but proficient computer navigation).
  • Familiarity with and ability to quickly learn, if needed, new skills such as the use of iPhone capabilities and the use of apps for communication and reporting.
  • Basic professional writing skills and effective and professional verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
  • Ability to multi-task, while meeting sales goals and business needs.

Other important things to know:

  • You need a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and your own car insurance.
  • As we hire, territories may change a bit (we won’t require you to move), and we may ask you to adapt to include a new area or a condensed area, consider additional job assignments such as leadership, mentoring, training, or other responsibilities based upon your skill sets and aptitude, as part of the team.

This position offers:

Competitive base salary plus uncapped quarterly commissions, which include high performer accelerators and bonus opportunities. Expected On-Target Earnings (OTE) at 100% of goal attainment range is $150,000-$170,000 annually. Top performers who exceed their goals have the opportunity to earn beyond the stated OTE. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
