Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify mental health concerns, understand their backgrounds, and establish clinical diagnoses.

  • Deliver individual therapy, family sessions, and group therapy as appropriate, adjusting therapeutic techniques to meet the evolving needs of clients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant client records, including detailed treatment plans and progress notes in accordance with relevant ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Union Family Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele that includes individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Your work will involve addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and other mental health disordersโ€”all while respecting the unique cultural backgrounds and individual needs of each client.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) in the state of California.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
  • Strong skills in clinical assessment and diagnosing mental health conditions.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant therapeutic experience, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
