EDI Application Support
W2 hourly Contract Only
Contract length: 6 months
Pay rate: $55/hr
Location: Remote (must be local to Columbia, SC)
Overview
Seeking an experienced EDI Application Developer / Analyst to support and enhance healthcare EDI systems in a UNIX/Linux environment. This role involves EDI application support, troubleshooting, development, system enhancements, and customer issue resolution related to file submissions and report retrieval.
Responsibilities
  • Support existing EDI front-end and translator systems using ANSI X12/5010 standards.
  • Assist with implementation of new EDI solutions and system enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot issues within multi-tier distributed applications and databases.
  • Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain complex applications.
  • Work with business partners and technical teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Research and resolve customer issues related to EDI processing.
  • Perform system testing, debugging, documentation, and post-production support.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members when needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with EDI (ANSI X12/5010).
  • Strong UNIX/Linux command-line and shell scripting skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting multi-tier application environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++.
  • Strong SQL and database integration experience (Oracle or open-source databases).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Python
  • APIs, LDAP, and authentication technologies
  • AWS or cloud platforms
  • AI or automated testing experience
  • Healthcare or Medicare EDI experience
Environment
