How does working remotely as a TrueCommerce specialist affect collaboration with other teams and clients?

As a remote TrueCommerce specialist, you'll frequently collaborate with both internal teams—such as IT, sales, and customer support—and external clients to ensure seamless integration of EDI and e-commerce solutions. Communication tools like video conferencing and project management platforms are essential for staying aligned on project goals and troubleshooting issues in real time. While remote work offers flexibility, it also requires proactive communication and self-management to keep projects on track and maintain strong client relationships. You can expect regular virtual meetings and collaborative sessions to address integration challenges and deliver client-focused solutions.

What is a Remote TrueCommerce?

A Remote TrueCommerce job refers to a position where an employee works from a location outside of a traditional office environment while supporting or working with TrueCommerce software solutions. TrueCommerce is a provider of supply chain and electronic data interchange (EDI) solutions that help businesses connect, integrate, and automate their commerce networks. Remote roles can span various areas, including technical support, software development, project management, and customer service, all focused on implementing, maintaining, or enhancing TrueCommerce products and services. These positions allow for flexible work arrangements while contributing to digital commerce initiatives for clients.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a Remote TrueCommerce specialist?

To thrive as a Remote TrueCommerce Specialist, you need a solid understanding of EDI processes, supply chain workflows, and integration methodologies, often supported by a background in business, IT, or logistics. Experience with the TrueCommerce platform, ERP systems, and EDI mapping tools is typically required, along with relevant certifications or training. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for collaborating with clients and technical teams remotely. These skills ensure seamless data exchange, minimize errors, and support efficient business operations in a digital supply chain environment.

Remote Truecommerce roles typically include positions such as customer support, account management, software development, and technical support, all of which can often be performed entirely remotely. These jobs usually require strong communication skills, familiarity with e-commerce platforms, and the ability to use remote collaboration tools. Availability depends on the company's specific policies and the nature of the role.

Job description

Join the TrueCommerce Professional Services team where you will turn new connections into thriving trading partnerships. Help retailers and their vendors connect, test, and go live with confidence.
The Implementation Specialist II will manage a high volume caseload of trading partner add ons for TrueCommerce Home retail customers. You will guide vendors and manufacturers through how they will connect, set them up on the TrueCommerce portal, and coordinate setup and testing through go-live with our internal teams. No EDI background is needed; most of our team came from other industries, and we will teach you the rest.
This role is a remote opportunity, with up to 10% travel.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage a personal caseload of 70 to 90 trading partner requests for retail customers, with proactive follow-ups and high email volume.
  • Communicate with vendors and manufacturers to determine how they will connect, set them up on the TrueCommerce portal, and walk them through requirements.
  • Coordinate setup and testing with dedicated internal mapping, trading partner support, and development teams.
  • Run recurring status calls with retail customers to keep open items, approvals, and go-live coordination on track.
  • Work in NetSuite for customer communication and case management, and in Smartsheets for project coordination and customer updates.

Requirements for Success:
  • 1+ year of customer-facing experience in any industry (customer service, project coordination, account management, or operations); EDI experience is not required.
  • Comfortable on the phone and proactive about picking it up.
  • Proven ability to handle high volume work: organized calendar, strong follow-up discipline, and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service instincts, including experience handling high-intensity customer situations.
  • Team player who takes ownership and helps teammates without being asked.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) and internet-based business tools.
  • Associate degree in business, technology, or a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule between 8am and 7pm when needed.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with NetSuite, Smartsheets, or any ticketing system.
  • Knowledge of B2B commerce, EDI, or supply chain processes.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Perks & Benefits
  • Remote first and casual work environment
  • 401k with 3.5% company match and vested after 2 years
  • 20 PTO days + 1 birthday off + 3 "summer days" + 1 volunteer day + 10 company holidays
  • Medical, dental, vision and other life/health insurance plans
  • Paid parental leave
  • Wellness reimbursement program
