Job description

Please note that this role would require the consultant to be onsite 2-3 weeks at the beginning of the project. All expenses paid. Afterwards, will be 100% remote.

Our Direct client in the Utility Industry is seeking for a QA with Field Workforce Management (Oracle MWM) for a 12+ month contract with possibly hire/extensions. This is a REMOTE role opportunity - with 2-3 weeks onsite in Brewster, NY and then remote.

UTILITY INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

The ideal candidate must have 8+ years as a hands-on manual tester in the Utility Industry, including at least 2+ years of recent experience migrating Field Workforce Management tool (Oracle MWM) on prem to a new Field Workforce Management tool in the cloud.

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance & Testing Lead will be responsible for all quality assurance & testing as it pertains to the MWM Replacement Project. The Quality Assurance & Testing Lead will work with project and operational teams to successfully integrate testing.

Required:

  • Experienced hands-on manual testing working on large scale projects in the utility industry
  • Strong experience with Field Workforce Management application (Oracle MWM), including migration from on prem to the cloud.
  • Coordinating with the development team, business analysts and the product/business owner to get an in-depth understanding of the application and learn the testing requirements.
  • Identify the scope and out-of-scope items related to testing.
  • Create test scenarios and test cases that cover all the possible functionalities and requirements of the software application. Ensure that the test cases are comprehensive and effective.
  • Creating Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure all the requirements are covered for validation.
  • Creating a test plan.
  • Performing thorough testing by executing all test cases to ensure the application works as intended.
  • Documenting the test results by capturing the screenshots with date and timestamp and PII masked.
  • Identifying and reporting defects detected during the testing. Documenting the steps to reproduce defects, associated test data, screenshots, and other relevant information.
  • Track the application downtime in the downtime tracker.
  • Report any risk to the Test Lead and Project Manager with the impact to the testing/project.
  • Providing regular updates to the Test Lead on the test cases execution, issues found and any blocking issues.
  • Prepare a list of items that need to be procured for testing the product/application.
  • Create a Dashboard in the test management tool to track the test execution and defects status/progress.
  • Retest the defect and re-execute the test cases once the defect is closed.
  • Good in multi-tasking.
  • Good written and communication skills.
