As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Garden of Mary Psychological Center, you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health challenges, leading to the development of personalized and effective treatment plans.
• Provide individual therapy sessions utilizing recognized therapeutic modalities, ensuring that each session is tailored to meet clients’ unique needs and goals.
• Set clear therapeutic objectives in partnership with clients and consistently track their progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
• Offer teletherapy sessions to clients who prefer or require remote consultations, making mental health support accessible to all.
• Maintain meticulous and timely clinical documentation to comply with ethical and regulatory standards, reflecting our commitment to professionalism.
• Participate in ongoing professional development initiatives to further your clinical skills and remain informed about advancements in mental health treatment.

At Garden of Mary Psychological Center, our clientele includes individuals facing a variety of mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and other psychological conditions. You will play a vital role in providing therapeutic interventions that cater to this diverse patient population, fostering trust and understanding while navigating each individual’s unique circumstances.

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• A current and valid license in Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences, allowing for a supportive counseling environment.
• Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills that support efficient caseload management.

Preferred candidates will have previous experience working in a community health setting, with familiarity in modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). At least two years of clinical experience providing therapy, particularly in remote settings, will enhance your application.
