The Role:
The National Account Manager is responsible for generating growth and development of chain accounts as defined by either Technomic Top 300 or Emerging Growth Chains that fit Berks Strategic design led model. The NAM will develop strategies to both maintain and grow our business at these accounts through a deep understanding of the customers strategies through Joint Business Planning while delivering positive financial results in both volume and margin for Berk Enterprises.
What you'll Own:
Build deep relationships across multiple functions and levels within each account
Develop and execute strategies that balance volume and margin
Independently manage and lead complex negotiations to achieve mutually desired outcomes with our customers
Anticipate operational challenges before they arise, communicate with all stake holders and present solutions to enhance our relationships.
Lead cross functional collaboration internally, using project management skills to execute project timelines and deliver positive results for Berk and our customers.
Effectively manage the business forecasts and communicate to all supply chain stakeholders
What you Bring:
Financial Acumen, P&L understanding
Excellent verbal and written communication
Best in class listening skills and questioning strategies
Relevant experience in both Chain and Foodservice knowledge
Strong Microsoft skills
Flexibility and ability to lead through change
Independent worker, self motivated
A creative mind in both selling strategies and problem solving


Physical Demands:
May need to sit for long periods of time
Travel up to 40% of the time
Use of keyboards, telephones and other office and communication equipment
Stooping, bending and reaching may be required
Ability to lift up to 40Lbs
Valid driver's license and ability to meet Berk driving standards
