Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Account Manager (Open to Remote within the US) will focus on customers within the paper industrial sector across the United States and Canada. In this role, you will handle critical or complex products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning.
This role is eligible for remote work within the United States. Given the travel requirements of up to 50% across the U.S. and Canada, we are looking for candidates who are located near a major airport with convenient flight access.
Key Accountabilities
  • Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
  • Coordinate use of resources to provide value added services to accounts.
  • Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.
  • Prepare for the negotiation process and negotiate all assigned accounts to meet financial objectives.
  • Support supervisors and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience in sales, business development or related field
  • Strong presentation skills comfortable with presenting in front of customers and face to face interaction
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50% throughout the United States and Canada
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Valid Passport or ability to obtain one for travel within United States and Canada

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Sales force, risk management tools or customer relationship management software
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand manufacturing processes, ingredient functionality, application development, and customer technical challenges
  • Experience collaborating with Technical Services, R&D, Operations, Product Line, and Supply Chain teams to develop customer solutions
  • Sales experience working with paper manufacturing industry
  • Experience in understanding customer needs, articulating customer objectives, and adding value to partnerships, demonstrated negotiation and value-based / consultative sales skills

Applicant Information
The expected salary for this position is $100,000 - 150,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
