Job Description

Job Title: Technical Program Manager
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities
Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, be a voice of reason and authority, and make the tough calls;
Facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches;
Work with remote teams (internal and external) to sync up on status, issues, risks, changes, and coordinate the communication between the local and remote teams;
Review and coordinate all proposed/planed work, including work by the Professional Service firms, Industrial Co-Ops, University Co-Ops, and internal teams;
Collaborate closely with the business owners/stakeholders and technical teams to identify and document detailed requirements, process flows, and data sources related to initiation and planning phases;
Prepare scope of work (SOW) and other Project Initiation documents/activities;
Develop project schedule and coordinate tasks among teams;
Accurately tracks projects in project management tool;
Manage full life-cycle of project through project review cycle and beyond when necessary.

Qualifications

Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience;
7+ years of experience leading software development projects;
3+ years of relevant software engineering experience, preferably with experience in data networking or telecom;
Strong background in technical program management;
Hands on experience with Agile software development principles and methodologies;
Detail-oriented, successful track record of coordinating between multiple project stakeholders, technical program managers, and software development teams;
Be able to work/collaborate/communicate effectively with upper management, stakeholders and other external dependencies;
Ability to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or multiple competing priorities;
Willing to work with flexible time arrangements;
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English, and Mandarin).
Preferred
Knowledge of open source software platforms and tools a plus;
Hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute
