About the job

Job Summary:

Reporting to the VP, Director of Integration, the M&A Integration Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring the successful integration of new entities from across the globe as they join the company.

To succeed in this role, the M&A Integration Manager will serve not only as an exceptional project manager, but as a subject matter expert in integration displaying exceptional decision-making instincts, emotional intelligence, cross-functional agility, and the capability to work as a business partner to executive-level leaders from across the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple M&A integration projects at all stages of the integration, driving timeliness and accountability for all involved stakeholders from pre- to post-merger
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in integration approach, identify dependencies and propagate best practices from both Salas Oโ€™Brien and new incoming organizations
  • Coordinate meetings, document decisions, and ensure follow-up on action items
  • Track and report on project progress, milestones, and key performance indicators
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between all stakeholders throughout the integration process
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful integration of merged companies
  • Support due diligence and integration planning efforts with business analysis and an emphasis on the consolidation of systems, practices, policies, and procedures to more effectively integrate the new organization into our environment post-closing
  • Support the development and implementation of improved processes, tools, and best practices based on lessons learned and feedback, fostering a culture that values continuous improvement
  • Collect and analyze metrics regarding merger efficacy, efficiency, and impact including retention of talent, financial performance, operational effectiveness, etc.

Qualifications And Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, engineering, or related fields
  • Experience: Ideally five yearsโ€™ or more project management experience required, preferably in M&A integration and/or the AEC industry
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software required, Smartsheet preferred
  • PMP certification, preferred
  • Experience communicating and supporting executive level stakeholders, required. Demonstrating exceptional leadership skills including the confidence, experience, and political acuity required to quickly establish credibility and influence.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and analytic ability
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including communication for an executive audience and negotiation and persuasive speaking abilities
  • Inquisitive in nature with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward, proactively planning tasks and taking ownership of overseeing successful completion

Travel: Up to 25%

Compensation & Benefits

The expected annual base salary range for this role can be $100,000 - $120,000 USD or more depending on experience. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
