What You Will Do

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative I. This role will be responsible for processing new business, renewals, and endorsements, as well as billing transactions, in accordance with established department policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an insurance agency or company setting and be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process new business, renewals and endorsements and billing transactions according to established department policies and procedures
  • Communicates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner when additional information is needed ensuring timely processing
  • Maintains detailed policy documentation and updates customer information as necessary
  • Rate endorsements/transactions for multiple lines of business
  • Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company
  • Perform pre-underwriting task for policy transactions based on Company processing procedures and underwriting guidelines or complete preparatory work
  • Order reports for new business, renewal and endorsements as required such as CLUE, MVR, SOCRECARD, DADS, etc
  • Maintain acceptable productivity and quality levels established by management
  • Perform all tasks with direction of supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures

What You Will Need

  • Education: Associate's degree preferred; insurance training or basic insurance courses desirable.
  • Experience: Less than 2 years in an agency or insurance company preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, confidentiality, professionalism, and adaptability.

Salary Range: $39,000-$50,000

The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee's work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
