Description & Requirements
Maximus is seeking a remote Strategic Sourcing Analyst who will focus on procurement activities for HR, Marketing, and Professional Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies through the RFx process.
- Develop and negotiate contracts with new suppliers and/or renegotiate existing contracts to accomplish the lowest total system cost and savings objectives.
- Responsible for creating cost estimates and expenditure forecasts related to company's procurement.
- Evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies to senior management for approval.
- Deliver and manage the request for proposal (RFP) process for assigned categories or sourcing engagements.
- Develop strategies to improve the enterprises' cost structure.
- Optimize external spending through early involvement in the sourcing life cycle developed through a strong partnership with business stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to aggregate enterprise demand to drive value.
- Demonstrate strong business judgment, integrity, financial acumen and project management skills.
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and implements supplier agreements by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach an agreement on contract terms and conditions.
- Responsible for analyzing procurement expenditures and sourcing strategic supply partners.
- Review/approve purchase orders, requisitions and ensure timely processing.
- Work with legal and stay updated on best practices, new tools and enhancements required for procurement.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in procurement directly involved with strategic sourcing management.
- Knowledge of category management practices, experience in negotiating contracts/agreements, vendor management skills and demonstrated expertise within key areas, such as HR, Marketing, and Professional Services.
- Demonstrate strong business judgment, integrity, financial acumen and project management skills.
- Experience writing and generating RFPs, RFIs and RFQs to suppliers.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Coupa or other Procurement Business Spend Platform experience a plus.
- Strong organizational, risk management and negotiation skills.
- Advanced analytical ability.
- Familiarity with sourcing and procurement tools.
- Ability to work with internal customers and develop strong partnerships.
