POSITION PURPOSE Adobe Population Health is seeking an experienced Strategic Advisor (Independent Contractor) to serve as a trusted executive advisor and market development partner responsible for expanding the organization's relationships with health plans, managed care organizations (MCOs), Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), provider groups, and other strategic healthcare stakeholders. This highly visible consulting role is designed for accomplished healthcare executives with deep payer relationships and a proven track record of helping organizations successfully enter new markets, build executive-level partnerships, and secure value-based care and population health contracts. The Strategic Advisor serves as an extension of Adobe Population Health's executive leadership and Business Development teams by leveraging established industry relationships, identifying growth opportunities, providing market intelligence, and facilitating executive introductions that accelerate business development efforts. Rather than owning the traditional sales process, this role focuses on opening doors, cultivating relationships, advising leadership on market positioning, and helping Adobe Population Health expand its footprint across Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Commercial, Dual Eligible, and Value-Based Care markets. This is an independent contractor (1099) position engaged on a project, territory, payer, or strategic initiative basis. Compensation is milestone-based and aligns with meaningful business development outcomes. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Business DevelopmentIdentify and cultivate strategic growth opportunities with national, regional, and local health plans, managed care organizations, provider organizations, and healthcare partners. Leverage executive-level relationships to facilitate introductions to key decision-makers, including CEOs, Presidents, Chief Medical Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Provider Network Executives, Population Health Leaders, and Contracting Executives. Generate qualified business development opportunities that align with Adobe Population Health's strategic priorities. Assist executive leadership in identifying new markets, service opportunities, and payer partnerships. Support expansion into new geographic markets and lines of business. Advise leadership regarding competitive positioning, market trends, and emerging healthcare opportunities. Executive Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain trusted relationships with executive leaders throughout the healthcare industry. Represent Adobe Population Health professionally during executive meetings, conferences, networking events, and industry forums. Serve as a trusted advisor during high-level strategic discussions. Assist with stakeholder mapping and identification of key decision-makers within target organizations. Foster long-term partnerships that create sustainable business opportunities. Health Plan & Payer StrategyProvide strategic guidance regarding payer priorities, procurement processes, contracting structures, and operational expectations. Advise leadership on health plan organizational structures and executive decision-making processes. Identify opportunities aligned with: Population Health Management Care Management Complex Case Management Disease Management Risk Adjustment (HCC) Quality Improvement Programs STARS/HEDIS Initiatives Gap Closure Programs Palliative Care Home-Based Clinical Services Remote Patient Monitoring Respiratory Care Management Value-Based Care Programs Delegated Clinical Services Other strategic healthcare initiatives Provide insight regarding payer contracting priorities, market conditions, and competitive dynamics. Market IntelligenceMonitor healthcare industry trends, legislative changes, payer initiatives, and emerging value-based care models. Share actionable market intelligence with executive leadership. Identify competitive threats and strategic opportunities. Advise leadership regarding potential partnerships, acquisitions, and growth initiatives. Provide recommendations regarding service expansion and market differentiation. Strategic ConsultingParticipate in executive planning meetings and strategic growth discussions. Advise leadership on go-to-market strategies. Assist with development of strategic initiatives and long-term growth plans. Provide subject matter expertise regarding managed care, population health, and healthcare operations. Offer recommendations to improve organizational positioning within target markets. Business Development SupportCollaborate with Business Development, Operations, Clinical Leadership, and Executive teams throughout the sales process. Assist with opportunity qualification. Support executive presentations and customer meetings. Participate in strategic proposal discussions when requested. Help develop relationship strategies for priority accounts. Attend executive meetings, conferences, and client presentations as appropriate. Internal CollaborationWork collaboratively with Executive Leadership, Business Development, Operations, Clinical Services, Finance, and Legal. Ensure opportunities are properly documented within the organization's CRM. Provide regular updates regarding relationship activity and business development progress. Assist leadership in prioritizing strategic opportunities. Participate in internal strategy meetings as requested. Professional RepresentationRepresent Adobe Population Health with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. Maintain a positive reputation within the healthcare community. Promote the organization's mission, values, and strategic vision. Serve as an ambassador for Adobe Population Health throughout the healthcare industry. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSTen (10)+ years of executive leadership experience within healthcare, managed care, population health, or value-based care. Demonstrated success developing strategic partnerships with Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Commercial, or Integrated Health Plans. Established executive relationships within health plans, managed care organizations, provider organizations, health systems, or healthcare consulting firms. Strong understanding of: Population Health Value-Based Care Medicare Advantage Medicaid CMS Programs HEDIS STAR Ratings Risk Adjustment Care Management Healthcare Operations Proven ability to identify and develop strategic growth opportunities. Ability to navigate complex healthcare organizations and executive structures. High degree of professionalism, discretion, and executive presence. EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, finance, or related field required. Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related discipline) strongly preferred. Executive leadership experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education. Professional certifications related to healthcare leadership, managed care, or business development are preferred. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
