Job description

A company within the Pre-Engineered Metal Building industry is seeking a District Sales Manager to drive business development and territory growth across North Carolina and South Carolina. The position offers significant autonomy while being supported by experienced estimating, engineering, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow sales throughout the NC / SC territory and surrounding markets
  • Build relationships with general contractors, furnish-and-erect contractors, erectors, and design-build firms
  • Manage projects from early design discussions through final delivery
  • Maintain and forecast an active sales pipeline
  • Identify new business opportunities and execute territory growth strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events, builder meetings, and trade shows
  • Collaborate internally with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project execution
  • Provide strong communication and follow-through throughout the sales process
Qualifications
  • Direct experience within the PEMB industry required
  • 5+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience within PEMB or structural steel
  • Strong understanding of PEMB systems, construction processes, and erection practices
  • Track record of developing territories and growing sales volume
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel throughout the territory as needed (approximately 50%)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
