Summary
You will serve as a Operations Research Analyst of MARCORSYSCOM/Portfolio Acquisition Executive-Mission Systems.

Help
  • You will develop complete mathematical models and documentation to support timely decision making for stakeholders and senior leaders across programs using statistical methods and analytical tools to convert data into insights for cost analysis.
  • You will develop cost estimates and analytical products using automated cost estimating integrated tools, statistical techniques, and diverse data systems to advise technical financial and program managers on complex decisions and requirements.
  • You will manage cost programmatic and technical data by planning and executing procedures for collection review acceptance storage retrieval update and dissemination using enterprise data systems to ensure accurate reporting compliance.
  • You will provide leadership and guidance on highly complex and unprecedented analytical problems, applying policy knowledge and best practices while coordinating cross functional teams and communicating results to senior personnel stakeholders.
  • You will apply statistical and mathematical techniques and a wide range of analytical tools to perform operations research analysis, and advise program and financial managers on solving complex problems and improving program outcomes.
  • You will establish and maintain liaison with program managers, headquarters personnel, other federal agencies, and organizations to ensure requirements definition, adequate funding, and alignment of analytical results with program objectives.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Knowledge of the principles and theories of applied statistical methods and techniques related to a specific subject-matter field or a particular statistical function.
-Ability to perform statistical analyses and to conduct operations research studies and projects.
-Ability to communicate effectively in writing and other than in writing.

Education
Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
