• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.
• Engage with clients to co-create customized treatment plans that align with their individual needs, personal goals, and preferences, ensuring a patient-centered approach to care.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate positive changes and coping mechanisms.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders by providing comprehensive information regarding treatment options, effective self-care strategies, and available resources.
• Monitor and document clients' progress carefully, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs and goals.
• Collaborate with a network of psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and holistic treatment strategies.
• Stay updated with ongoing research and best practices in mood disorder treatments, integrating new findings into treatment modalities and discussions.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical compliance standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and share insights within the team.
• Act as an advocate for clients, promoting awareness, understanding, and de-stigmatization of mood disorders as part of a broader community health initiative.

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our practice serves a diverse population with varying backgrounds, emphasizing the necessity for cultural competency and sensitivity in treatment. As a therapist, your ability to connect with clients and build trusting relationships is essential to facilitating their healing processes.

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist is required.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches, specifically CBT and DBT, is essential.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatric professionals.
• Proven record of effectiveness in treating mood disorders through previous clinical experience.
• Exceptional communication skills demonstrated through the ability to engage and relate with clients from various backgrounds.

Experience in a community health clinic or outpatient psychiatric environment is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and the tools necessary for remote therapy delivery will give candidates a distinct advantage in this role.
