Summary:
The Asset Manager, Wind and Solar is responsible for maximizing the long-term risk-adjusted value of a renewable energy portfolio including wind, solar and storage. The role integrates operational oversight, commercial strategy and financial value creation to ensure assets perform at or above their investment thesis. The role leads cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, energy management, finance, accounting, legal, regulatory teams. They will optimize performance, manage risk, and unlock embedded value throughout the asset lifecycle.
This role requires strong commercial and strategic judgement, the ability to anticipate complex multidimensional issues early and strong services mindset and excellent communications skills.
Requirements:
  • Responsible for utility-scale wind, solar, and storage technical, financial and commercial asset management
  • Maximizes asset value by monitoring and optimizing performance of solar, wind and storage projects
  • Monitors the contractual obligations of the Project Companies
  • Acts as the owner's representative, managing relationships with internal teams, investors. Off-takers and service providers.
  • Ensures contractual compliance across key agreements (PPAs, O&M, EPC, interconnection, financing and leases)
  • Leads issue resolution for technical, commercial, regulatory and environmental challenges.
  • Oversees financial performance, including budgets, cash flow management, variance analysis, and reporting, in partnership with the Asset Management Finance team.
  • Active participation in RES Group projects related to operational excellence.
  • Applies Asset Management operational procedures and proactively suggest ways to improve the overall performance of Asset Management.
  • Prepares and delivers reporting to internal stakeholders, partners, and investors
  • Manages project-level financial operations, including OPEX, invoicing, receivables, and distributions.
  • Develops market expertise in electricity markets, renewable energy credits (RECs), and capacity structures.
  • Complies with and implementation of safety, environmental and quality procedures within the company.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Drives improvements in financial and operational metrics and maximizes operating asset value.
  • Completes other duties and projects as assigned by management within their scope.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • CFA preferred.
  • PMP preferred.
  • 3 or more years' Asset Management, Renewable Energy, or Operations related experience (wind, solar, storage, or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to travel 5 to 15% required.
  • Strong understanding of utility-scale renewable projects across development, construction and operations.
  • Experience in Wind and solar asset performance analysis, KPIs tracking.
  • Experience managing commercial agreements and asset-level obligations.
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance, budgets, and cash flows.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and SharePoint.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Knowledge of complex project financing structures (tax equity, debt, sponsor models).
  • Experience working directly with external stakeholders (off takers, vendors, service providers).
  • Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. renewable energy markets, regulations and incentive programs
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Anticipated base salary range: $87,000 - $109,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
