The collection currently features styles with messages that empower people around the world to engineer change in their lives and the lives of others. The vision is to create a movement centered around a message of unity, global purpose, and freedom that is anchored in dates of liberation..

Job Description

We are currently seeking interns who are able to work independently and creatively to maintain and enhance the company's online presence and assist with merchandise inventory, events, campaigns and other initiatives. This individual will work under the Managing Director. We offer career guidance and the opportunity to build one's portfolio and network with high-level professionals from various sectors, such as entertainment, community outreach, film, TV and publishing.ย 

Tasks include, but are not limited to:ย 

Designing and develop social media strategies for Liberated People and our partner's campaigns

Creating plans for social media reach and expansion across all platforms (i.e. facebook, instagram, twitter)

Assisting in drafting press releases and other information to list serve and other networks

Participating in website maintenance and apparel design with web and graphic designers

Assisting with apparel inventory and all marketing and fundraising efforts

Qualifications

- Knowledge and experience working with social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

- Event planning, inventory management and video editing/cinematography

- An interest in the social justice and community development sector

- Written communication, critical thinking and technical skills

- A proactive, entrepreneurial, and positive attitude

Additional Information

Location: Brooklyn, NY (option to work remotely based on needs)

Start date: Immediatelyย 

End date: 3-6 months, to be determined based on need of company and availability of internย 

Hours per week: 5-10 hours

Compensation: Unpaid

Areas of focus: Social Media, Community Outreach, Inventory Maintenance, Events, Special Projects

The position is 5-10 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible, but most days will require 30 minutes-one hour in order to keep online communication lively and consistent. The intern will work remotely, on his/her own electronic device, but will also participate in calls with the Managing Director and team, in addition to meetings and events.
