Job description

Position Summary: The Youth Empowerment Coordinator leads the development and support of Unity's global youth ministry strategy by creating modern, engaging spiritual education and equipping leaders to empower children and teens as confident changemakers. This role focuses on curriculum development, leader training, and field support, ensuring Unity youth programming is relevant, accessible, and aligned with Unity principles worldwide.
Essential Job Functions:
  1. Develop and standardize Unity-based youth curricula that integrate spiritual principles with modern themes such as social-emotional learning, leadership, and global citizenship.
  2. Design and deliver Training of Trainers (ToT) programs to equip regional leaders and volunteers with effective facilitation and pedagogical skills.
  3. Serve as the primary headquarters liaison for local youth ministry leaders, providing consultation, guidance, and implementation support.
  4. Curate and maintain a centralized digital library of youth ministry resources, toolkits, and communications.
  5. Collaborate with the UWSI Education team and instructional designers to ensure alignment with organizational educational standards and strategy.
  6. Establish mentoring pathways that connect experienced Unity leaders with emerging youth leaders.
  7. Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve youth programming through feedback and program assessment.

Credentials:
Certified Spiritual Educator (CSE), Licensed Unity Teacher (LUT), or Unity Minister.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in youth ministry or youth program development, including curriculum or event design.
  • Background in curriculum design, experiential education, or pedagogy preferred.

Skills:
  • Strong digital skills, including Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and engage today's youth and families in both in-person and digital environments.

Competency:
  • Ability to translate Unity metaphysical principles into age-appropriate, experiential learning.
  • Expertise in adult education and Training of Trainers models.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
