Sentara Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time remote position. • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand clients' mental health concerns, identifying strengths and challenges that can guide treatment.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, ensuring that interventions are customized to meet the unique needs of each client, incorporating their cultural backgrounds.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and family systems therapy to effectively address client issues.
• Design detailed treatment plans outlining specific goals, therapeutic interventions, and methods for monitoring client progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and nurses, to integrate care and develop comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention services, performing risk assessments and creating safety plans to assist clients in times of urgent need.
• Advocate for client rights and connect individuals with essential community resources to support their overall well-being.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness and foster relationships with local partners.

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing substance use issues and mental health disorders. The detox center environment presents unique challenges, and you will be integral in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to help clients navigate their recovery journey. Through your dedicated support, you will contribute to improving mental health outcomes and fostering resilience in clients facing significant barriers.

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of cultural backgrounds and populations is essential.
• Strong communication skills and empathy needed for effective client interaction and collaboration with colleagues.

• Previous experience working in a community mental health or detox center environment is preferred.
• A background in crisis intervention and case management is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms will be beneficial in a remote work setting.
