We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Accounting Systems & Transformation to serve as the systems architect for our finance and accounting technology stack. This role will lead a major ERP implementation, own the configuration and maintenance of all finance systems, and drive change management across the organization. The ideal candidate combines deep accounting systems expertise with strong project management skills and a collaborative approach to business partnership.

What You Will Do:

ERP Implementation
  • Partner with Accounting and IT leadership to lead internal project management for the implementation of a new ERP system (NetSuite, Workday Financials, or similar), working in close partnership with a third-party implementation partner
  • Own the full migration from Sage Intacct to the new ERP platform
  • Design and implement integrations between the ERP and all other finance and accounting systems
Finance Systems Architecture
  • Serve as the systems architect for all finance and accounting platforms, maintaining a holistic view of the technology ecosystem
  • Apply strong Master Data Management (MDM) principles to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems as the company scales
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement a new FP&A tool (Adaptive Insights, Pigment, or similar)
  • Lead the implementation of Navan for travel management and corporate travel credit cards
Systems Ownership & Administration
  • Own configuration and ongoing maintenance of all accounting and finance systems, including:
    • Tax engine
    • P2P platform
    • Expense report platform
    • Travel platform
    • Payroll
    • Close Management
    • Billing platform
    • Equity management platform
    • 401k platform
  • Support integration work with corporate systems including Okta, Salesforce, and Google BigQuery
  • Diagnose and resolve configuration and integration issues across the finance systems portfolio
Testing, Controls & Audit Support
  • Lead and support ongoing user acceptance testing (UAT) for new functionality, system upgrades, and integration changes
  • Document and maintain system controls in compliance with internal control frameworks
  • Support internal and external audits with evidence, process walkthroughs, and control documentation
Change Management & Training
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand process changes driven by system implementations and upgrades
  • Document new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job aids for impacted teams
  • Create training videos and materials for company-wide rollouts
  • Drive adoption and ensure smooth transitions for all Finance and cross-functional users
Your Skills and Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting systems, finance operations, or ERP administration
  • Demonstrated experience leading or co-leading a full ERP implementation from selection through go-live including experience implementing ASC606 compliant software revenue recognition functionality
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Workday Financials, or similar platforms and familiarity with Sage Intacct or a comparable down-market ERP
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles and finance data architecture
  • Experience managing third-party implementation partners and cross-functional project teams
  • Proficiency with at least several of the following platforms: Avalara, Ramp, Rippling, FloQast, Chargebee, Carta, Vestwell, Navan, or comparable tools
  • Ability to design, document, and maintain controls and governance with a mind toward future SOX compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Redwood City, CA on a hybrid schedule
  • CPA or equivalent accounting background
  • Experience implementing FP&A tools such as Adaptive Insights, Pigment, Anaplan, or Planful
  • Familiarity with Navan or other corporate travel and expense platforms
  • Experience with Okta, Salesforce, Spiff, or Google BigQuery integrations

For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
