Job description

The Strategic Account Manager I is a portfolio of strategic wholesale and industrial accounts across Gas South's ever-expanding service territory. The role requires some direct customer interaction, focusing on transactional order processing, customer data entry and analysis, and internal collaboration while learning industry best practices under supervision. Additionally, the Strategic Account Manager I will be responsible for contacting assigned STAC-lite customers to renew their contracts.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing customer orders, including volume and rate analysis.
  • Support data entry and account-related inquiries from Strategic Customers.
  • Learn to analyze customer usage trends and provide recommendations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Pricing, Trading, Risk, Legal, and Billing) to support customer account activities.
  • Assist in preliminary invoice development and verification of transactions for assigned accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate basic reports.
  • Ensure data is entered and maintained accurately in Salesforce and other systems.
  • Provide basic support such as validating transactions related to Baseload, Swing, Inday, and Turnback orders for Strategic Customers while escalating complex issues.

Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in customer service, data analysis, or financial operations in the natural gas industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, and basic analytical skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
