Scope:

The Senior Sales Compensation Analyst designs, administers, and continuously improves sales compensation programs to drive desired revenue behavior and ensure accurate, timely payouts. This role blends analytical modeling, system configuration, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder communication to support Sales, Finance, HR, Payroll, and leadership.

What you will do:

  • Reconcile commissions to bookings, revenue, and payroll; lead root-cause analysis for variances and disputes.

  • Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, and Payroll to ensure compliance, data integrity, tax/treatment considerations, and smooth payout flow.
  • Lead or participate in plan change communications, sales enablement, and training for sales leaders/representatives.
  • Maintain detailed plan documentation, business rules, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) for auditability and governance.
  • Drive process improvements and automation opportunities to increase accuracy and reduce cycle time.
  • Support M&A, territory/quota redesigns, and ad hoc analysis for incentive program proposals.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years experience in sales compensation, incentive design, sales operations, or Sales Finance (or equivalent).

  • Experience working with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and at least one compensation/commission tool or payroll system.
  • Strong stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex rules to non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a recurring payout cadence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with incentive platforms such as Xactly, Anaplan, SAP Commissions, Callidus/Commissions, or similar.
  • SQL and data manipulation skills; familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Background in SaaS/technology sales compensation, quota setting, or territory management.
