Job description

As we continue to expand, Constructiv is building a pipeline of skilled construction professionals for future opportunities in the United States. While we currently do not have immediate openings, we want to connect with talented individuals in the data center construction industry who are open to exploring roles with us when the time is right.

This is a fully onsite role responsible for ensuring compliance with customer and industry safety standards among all contractors and subcontractors. The Safety Manager will engage with construction trade staff to promote adherence to established safety protocols. This role is customer-specific for the Constructiv Business.

Travel

Travel is required โ€“ up to 90%. 90% is required due to assignment being on site/physical location, living in temporary housing. Onsite is Monday - Friday with occasional off hours work, nights and weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interface with construction trade personnel to outline safety requirements and ensure customer and industry standards compliance.
  • Maintain and manage documentation related to all safety incidents.
  • Ensure that all necessary safety training is provided and completed in accordance with customer safety procedures.
  • Responds to site incidents, intervening as necessary to address increases in safety events.
  • Support the coordination and implementation of comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  • Contributes to developing baseline regulatory procedures to enhance overall site safety.
  • This role is critical in fostering a safety culture and ensuring all personnel on-site's well-being.

Minimal Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Safety Co-Ordinator, Safety Specialist).
  • BS Degree in a related field (Safety Manager).
  • OSHA 30 (Required)
  • OSHA 510 (Required)

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of data construction experience
  • 2 โ€“ 4 years Construction data center experience
  • 1-2 years experience in oil and gas with large-scale project construction.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Audits, Specific Training knowledge - OSHA Regulations, Workplace Standards, First Aid, Emergency Response, Risk Assessment and Mitigation, Verbal and Written skills, Computer Literacy, Interpersonal Skills, Policy Development and Review.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 500
  • ASP, CSP, CSHO, or other EHS specific technical certification.
  • 8+ years of data construction experience
  • 5 years of Construction data center experience
  • 5 yearsโ€™ experience in oil and gas with large-scale project construction.

Compensation

  • Constructiv is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary for this role is $123,600.00- $185,500.00 USD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidateโ€™s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Physical Demands

Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
