Remote Saas Consultant information

What does a remote SaaS consultant do?

A Remote SaaS Consultant helps businesses select, implement, and optimize Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions while working off-site. They assess a company's needs, recommend appropriate software, assist with onboarding and integration, and provide ongoing support and training. Their goal is to ensure clients get the most value and efficiency from their SaaS products, all without needing to be physically present at the client's office.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote SaaS consultant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote SaaS Consultant, you need expertise in cloud software solutions, client needs analysis, and a strong understanding of SaaS business models, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications in cloud technologies. Familiarity with CRM systems, SaaS platforms (like Salesforce or HubSpot), and remote collaboration tools is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for building client trust and managing projects independently. These abilities are essential for delivering tailored solutions, ensuring client satisfaction, and successfully navigating the demands of remote consulting.

What are the main challenges faced by remote SaaS consultants when supporting clients across different time zones?

Remote SaaS Consultants often work with clients from various geographical locations, which can create scheduling challenges and require flexibility to accommodate different time zones. Effective communication is crucial to ensure timely responses and maintain strong client relationships despite the physical distance. Consultants frequently use collaborative tools and prioritize clear documentation to bridge any gaps caused by asynchronous work. Being proactive about setting expectations and regularly checking in with clients helps mitigate misunderstandings and ensures smooth project delivery.

Position
Title: Sr. Performance Consultant - Digital Experience (DEX) and SaaS Transitions
Location: United States (Remote, with customer travel as required)
Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Technology Specialization: Digital Experience Management
The Performance Consultant is a senior individual contributor and subject matter expert within Riverbed Professional Services, focused on delivering Aternity-based Digital Experience (DEX) solutions in SaaS environments.
This role supports enterprise and US secured customers by leading complex DEX deployments, SaaS operations, and on-prem to SaaS transitions. The consultant acts as a trusted technical and advisory partner, ensuring customers successfully adopt Aternity SaaS while maintaining performance visibility, security requirements, and operational continuity.
This is not a people-management or practice-lead role. The focus is on deep technical expertise, customer advisory, and successful outcomes across DEX and SaaS engagements.
Candidates must therefore have a strong IT background in DEX concepts and of working within a professional services organization. Ideally this experience will have been gained in Managed Servicestype scenarios or similar.
What you will do
  • Serve as a senior technical SME for Aternity Digital Experience (DEX) solutions across SaaS and hybrid environments.
  • Lead complex Aternity engagements, including deployments, dashboards, alerting, and cross-domain analysis.
  • Design and validate enterprise-scale Aternity architectures aligned to customer goals and operating models.
  • Deliver Aternity in SaaS environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and operational readiness.
  • Lead or support on-prem to SaaS transitions, including planning, architecture, and risk management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding DEX strategy, SaaS adoption, and performance management best practices.
  • Lead customer workshops and executive engagements, clearly communicating technical, operational, and compliance considerations.

What makes you an ideal candidate
  • Active TS/SCI clearance preferred; candidates must be US-based.
  • 10+ years of experience in Professional Services, Consulting, or advanced technical advisory roles.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with Digital Employee Experience (DEX), observability, and application performance.
  • Proven experience delivering solutions in SaaS environments, including adoption and operationalization.
  • Experience supporting on-prem to SaaS transitions or hybrid migrations.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to engage credibly at senior and executive levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
