Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop personalized therapy strategies based on clients' unique needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to individuals, couples, and groups.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring records are accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care, leveraging the expertise of fellow health professionals for comprehensive client support.
• Engage in regular professional development, attending workshops and training to remain current with the latest research and advancements in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse client population, including individuals and families who may have limited access to care. Your role will be critical in treating a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your expertise will help clients navigate their challenges and foster personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) within the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally gained in a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards pertaining to mental health practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with a diverse range of clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a structured healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance use, or trauma will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation in the salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
