Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are culturally informed, taking into consideration each client's unique life experiences and backgrounds.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities suited to individual needs.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, with a focus on empowerment and resilience to enhance overall mental well-being.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care, which may include participating in joint assessments and treatment planning.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support, demonstrating sound judgment and crisis management techniques.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, strategies for coping, and applicable community resources, fostering an informed support system.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with all ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competence workshops.
• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in mental health treatment, particularly those tailored to diverse populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is centered on serving a diverse clientele, including marginalized and minority groups, individuals belonging to the LGBTQ+ community, and immigration families. Qualifications

• Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
• A thorough understanding of various mental health disorders, with proficiency in applying evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Experience delivering therapy in individual and group formats, incorporating culturally responsive methods tailored to our diverse patient base.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with a capacity to remain composed during critical situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated through a proven ability to build trust with clients from various backgrounds.
• Competence in using electronic health records and relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is essential, preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working in community mental health settings, particularly those involved in care for marginalized populations. Familiarity with community resources and outreach programs is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
