LEAD COMMERCIAL PROJECTS THAT MAKE AN IMPACT--FROM START TO FINISH

Osborne is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee high-impact commercial construction projects with precision, confidence, and a commitment to excellence. If you're a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves solving problems, you might be the perfect fit.

IMPORTANT: This role requires direct experience managing commercial construction projects. Candidates without construction project management experience (IT, software, etc.) will not be considered.

ABOUT US:

Osborne is a Topeka, Kansas-based commercial general contractor proudly celebrating 50 years of building across the country. We specialize in design-build commercial construction, facilities maintenance, and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. With a strong foundation built on integrity, dependability, and quality, we're known for doing what's right--every time. Our team is made up of smart, humble professionals who value accountability, consistent execution, and long-term partnerships. Whether in the field or behind the scenes, we take pride in delivering results that stand the test of time. Learn more at: www.osborne.com

YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

  • Experience managing commercial construction or civil/site development projects
  • Comfortable managing multiple active projects simultaneously
  • Strong communicator who works well with Superintendents and field teams
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving problems
  • Able to balance speed with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Accountable and take ownership of project outcomes
  • Strong understanding of the construction process inside and out

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of construction projects - primarily supporting fast-paced EV infrastructure work--from planning and budgeting to execution and client hand-off. This role requires managing multiple fast-moving projects at once, frequent coordination with field teams, and the ability to pivot quickly as project conditions change. Projects are often short-duration, fast-moving, and may run concurrently across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and overall project performance
  • Coordinate daily with Superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and vendors
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all project documentation
  • Track job costs, review financial performance, and maintain profitability
  • Collaborate with estimating and procurement on project setup and execution
  • Identify and resolve issues early to prevent project delays
  • Ensure quality, safety, and client expectations are consistently met

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

  • 3+ years of project management experience in commercial construction
  • Experience with site work, utilities, concrete, or civil scopes strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations
  • Proficiency in construction management software (JobPlanner or similar) and Bluebeam
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Strong financial awareness (job costing, budgets, forecasting)
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience
  • Performance Based opportunities
  • Medical, dental & vision insurance (company-shared premiums)
  • 3-weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) on accrual basis
  • Paid holidays
  • 401(k) with 3.5% employer match
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • A flexible, hybrid/remote work environment with strong team support

READY TO TAKE THE LEAD?

If you're a construction-focused Project Manager who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and knows how to keep jobs moving - let's talk.

Osborne Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
