As a Fire Emergency Services Success Expert here at Honeywell, you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our fire emergency services solutions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with customers to provide expert guidance and support, ensuring that their fire safety systems are effectively implemented and maintained. Your expertise will be critical in driving customer satisfaction and enhancing the overall performance of our fire emergency services.

Your commitment to excellence will help ensure that our customers can rely on our systems for their safety and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Subject Matter Expertise & Product Guidance
  • Serve as Honeywell's internal expert on fire department operations, dispatch center workflows, CAD systems, station alerting, and fire station software ecosystems.
  • Translate operational realities, compliance requirements, and NFPA standards into actionable product requirements.
  • Advise product managers and engineers on workflow design, data models, API use cases, and integration needs.
  • Evaluate MVP features, test early prototypes, and provide structured feedback to accelerate product-market fit.
  • Ensure all new offerings align with installation standards, fire service protocols, and regulatory expectations.

Compliance, Standards & Operational Insight
  • Interpret and communicate NFPA standards, dispatch protocols, and fire department operating procedures to cross-functional teams.
  • Identify unmet needs in compliance, reporting, incident management, and dispatch workflows that Honeywell's data and software can address.
  • Support development of documentation, training materials, and compliance-aligned messaging.

Sales & Business Development Enablement
  • Partner with sales and BD teams to articulate the operational and compliance value of new data/API products.
  • Join customer meetings as the subject matter expert to build credibility and accelerate deal cycles.
  • Help define buyer personas, decision-maker roles, and procurement pathways within fire departments and dispatch centers.
  • Support outbound campaigns, customer discovery, and early-stage opportunity qualification.
  • Contribute to building the sales process for new offerings, including playbooks, demo scripts, and objection handling.

Market Intelligence & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Conduct market research on fire/dispatch software trends, competitive offerings, and integration opportunities.
  • Identify potential software and hardware partners that can leverage Honeywell's data and APIs.
  • Participate in partnership diligence, including workflow evaluation, technical feasibility, and operational alignment.
  • Build rapport with chiefs, IT leaders, dispatch supervisors, and other key decision makers across the fire service ecosystem

Internal Leadership & Collaboration
  • Act as a guiding voice for product vision and strategy related to fire and dispatch personas.
  • Provide ongoing education to internal teams on fire service culture, terminology, workflows, and constraints.
  • Maintain structured tracking of customer insights, feature requests, and market signals

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • A minimum of 6 years of transferable experience in sales engineering roles, specifically in fire emergency services
  • Hands on experience with fire department or dispatch center software systems (CAD, station alerting, fire station management, incident reporting, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of NFPA standards, fire department operating procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of installation standards and fire system integration environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence the fire/EMS/dispatch ecosystem.
  • Experience selling, supporting, or implementing software applications, data products, or APIs.
  • Experience in project management and execution within fire safety contexts.
  • Understanding of public safety funding models, procurement cycles, and grant processes.

The salary range for this position is ($120000-160000). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
