Job description

Macmillan Publishers is looking for an Associate, Publishing Strategy to support the VP, Associate Publisher in researching, analyzing, and communicating trends, performance, promotions, and sales within the Macmillan Children's Publishing list. This requires working across different departments within the organization (publishing, marketing, sales, managing editorial, finance, supply chain, etc.) to execute projects, create process, and distribute learnings.
What You'll Do:
  • Creating and distributing reporting related to book sales and promotion performance
  • Data analysis and reporting relating to inventory management
  • Process and systems analysis, mapping, improvement, and implementation
  • Serve as publishing liaison with sales regarding ebook promotion strategy and messaging
  • Facilitate key performance analysis conversations through scheduling, compiling and distributing materials, and tracking follow-up.

  • Monitor pricing updates and adoption across the MCPG frontlist and backlist

What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years experience in publishing operations or related publishing field: production, managing editorial, workflows, systems, finance
