Job description

VetsEZ is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead Agile software development teams supporting DevSecOps initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end oversight of assigned projects, guiding cross functional teams through large scale initiatives or key components of complex programs. This role will manage the full lifecycle of applications and systems from intake through delivery, ensuring alignment with program objectives, budgets, and schedules while driving collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of application and system projects from intake through delivery using SAFe DevSecOps frameworks.
  • Lead Agile Scrum teams, ensuring alignment across products, deliverables, and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure modernization efforts.
  • Develop and manage project schedules using Agile project management methodologies and tools.
  • Provide regular reporting on project milestones, risks, blockers, and escalation needs.
  • Present project plans, roadmaps, and progress updates to VA leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to manage dependencies, risks, and competing priorities.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience managing IT projects, including risk identification and mitigation.
  • Strong experience leading complex projects in Agile environments (SAFe preferred).
  • Proven ability to communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Additional Qualifications
  • PMP, SAFe, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal government or VA projects is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps environments and CI/CD processes.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
