The Project Controls Scheduler will support the successful delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects by developing and managing integrated project schedules from pre-construction through EPC execution. Working closely with Business Development, Engineering, Construction, and Project Management teams, this role oversees scheduling activities for a portfolio of projects valued between $800 million and $1 billion, providing critical schedule analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting that drives on-time project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop preliminary project schedules to support estimating, proposals, and pre-construction planning.
- Create, maintain, and update Integrated Master Project Schedules (IMPS) with comprehensive work breakdown structures.
- Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules using Primavera P6.
- Establish schedule logic, dependencies, and sequencing across engineering, procurement, construction, and contractor activities.
- Manage weekly schedule updates by validating contractor and supplier progress with project stakeholders.
- Analyze schedule performance and prepare monthly schedule forecasts, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Establish and maintain project baselines while preparing weekly and monthly schedule variance reports.
- Monitor and report project performance using Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), and S-Curve metrics.
- Develop schedule dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI to communicate project performance to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to support successful execution of large-scale renewable energy projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of project scheduling experience within the energy, construction, engineering, or infrastructure industries.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, including development of resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, graphs, VLOOKUP, and schedule analysis tools.
- Experience with Procore, Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), including SPI, CPI, S-Curve analysis, and schedule forecasting.
- Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Project Schedules (IMPS) for complex capital projects.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), work breakdown structures (WBS), schedule logic, and project controls best practices.
- Experience collaborating with Engineering, Construction, Project Management, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or similar scheduling certification is a plus.
