We're looking for Project Managers to support our growing operations. KBL operates throughout Western Canada and Canada's North. In this role, you will work on some really interesting projects with a great team of people. We are looking to build our pool of Project Managers and are open to a variety of options. For example:

Work fully remote - part-time, full time or for a specified length of time.

Fractional roles - not interested in managing the full duration of a project? Join us to work only on tenders/bids and project planning and set up

Independent contractor? - we are open to these arrangements assuming all CRA and contractor requirements can be met.

F/T permanent - hybrid/on-site full-time roles are also available in many of our offices across Canada, including Calgary.


What you'll do:

Manage environmental remediation, reclamation, demolition, civil earthworks, and pipeline-related projects.

Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, scopes, and forecasts.

Assist in the bidding process. Work as a part of a team to collect and compile needed technical information as well as general KBL info.

Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contracts, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.

Monitor project performance related to safety, cost, schedule, productivity, profitability, and QA/QC.

Manage project costs, forecasting, documentation, progress billings, and change management.

Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and client deliverables.


Who you are:

5-10 years of Project Management experience related to General Construction, Mining, Environmental Remediation/Reclamation, Earthworks, Demolition, or Oil & Gas Construction projects.

Strong knowledge of construction project management.

Post-secondary education in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management or a related program is an asset.

Experience managing projects in remote or northern environments is a definite asset.

Strong estimating experience is considered a major asset.

Technical writing experience, including reports and project documentation, is considered an asset.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently but also as part of a team

Ability to travel a definite asset.

This role may require a combination of office-based, remote, and on-site work depending on business needs. Employees should be prepared for:

Extended periods of sitting, standing, or computer use

Occasional travel to operational sites or client locations

Exposure to outdoor or industrial environments, including varying weather and terrain
