Job description

What You’ll Do  

CoolIT Systems is seeking a Project Manager Team Lead to lead a team of NPI Project Managers while managing the successful execution of complex product development and continuous improvement projects. Based in Calgary and reporting to the Product department, this role oversees project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and performance metrics for advanced liquid cooling solutions, including CDUs and PCLs. Working with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and production, the successful candidate will drive project delivery, team development, and operational excellence in a fast-paced technology environment. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Supervise and coach Junior and Intermediate NPI Project Managers 
  • Develop and improve NPI Project Management processes 
  • Serve as a single point of contact for Value Stream Leaders on project status and risks 
  • Lead and manage projects removing any roadblocks that get in the way of execution 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams and ensure best practices are followed 
  • Support company continuous improvement projects as needed 
  • Measure and report project status using appropriate tools, techniques and metrics 
  • Use appropriate change management processes in order to minimize and report changes in project scope, schedule, and costs 
  • Hold regular meetings to ensure team members communicate effectively and ensure that all program risks are identified and managed in a timely fashion 
  • Communicate project status to management and other stakeholders via presentations and project tracking tools 
  • May require weekly calls with project teams in the APAC region 

WHO YOU ARE:  

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) projects related to electromechanical designs. 
  • Experience managing continuous improvement projects in an NPI and Lean Manufacturing environment. 
  • Proficiency with:  
  • PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems 
  • Project Management tools (especially ClickUp) 
  • ERP systems (especially NetSuite or Oracle) 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience managing software and firmware development projects. 
  • Experience with GitHub. 
  • Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems). 
  • Experience using AI tools for Project Management. 
  • Strong interest in and passion for emerging technologies.
