About the Position:
Reporting to the SVP, Operations the Project Manager supports and delivers internal initiatives within our payments acquiring operations by executing defined projects, coordinating cross-functional partners, and ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope. This is an individual contributor role focused on day-to-day project execution, coordination, and problem-solving rather than people management or portfolio oversight. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders across Product, Risk, Compliance, Underwriting, Operations, Legal, and Business Development to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with departmental and company objectives.
  • Execute assigned projects from intake through completion, managing tasks, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams including Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Underwriting, Operations, Legal, and Business Development.
  • Serve as the primary project liaison across internal teams to drive alignment and accountability
  • Lead initiatives related to:
  • Merchant onboarding, activation, and lifecycle workflows
  • Acquirer, processor, and sponsor bank requirements
  • Risk, fraud, compliance, and monitoring programs
  • Internal tooling, platform enhancements, and process improvements
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, status updates, and reporting for departmental leadership
  • Identify and proactively mitigate risks, particularly those impacting acquiring operations or regulated/high-risk verticals
  • Ensure projects adhere to internal controls as well as card network, acquiring, and regulatory expectations
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by refining project management practices and standards within the department
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of project management or operations experience in Fintech, payments, or financial services
  • Direct exposure to payments acquiring, merchant processing, or related payment operations
  • Working knowledge of the payment lifecycle, including authorization, settlement, chargebacks, and disputes
  • Experience using project tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Confluence, Smartsheet, Monday.com)
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to translate operational, technical, or regulatory requirements into actionable project plans.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see broader process and business impacts..
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving payments environment.
  • High degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.

  • Project management certification (PMP, Agile, Scrum) is a plus, not required

Pay Range: $95K -$115K
