Job description

Connoisseur Media – Corporate is looking for a dynamic Accounts Payable Manager to lead our team and drive accuracy, efficiency, and innovation in our Accounts Payable department—all from the comfort of your remote workspace. In this mission-critical role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure precise and timely payments to suppliers, lenders, and employees, and manage client payment processing. You’ll also hire, train, and mentor your team while acting as a key liaison between AP, corporate accounting, and outside vendors.

 

The ideal candidate thrives on optimizing processes, building strong relationships, and leading with confidence. You are analytical, decisive, and proactive, with excellent communication and leadership skills—and you love making an impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position can be remote from anywhere in the United States. 

 

Responsibilities of this position may include the following:

    \t
  • Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating Accounts Payable staff members.
  • \t
  • Overseeing routine department activities, such as payables entry and payment run processing, to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
  • \t
  • Maintaining accurate and complete financial and vendor records.
  • \t
  • Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, staff, and colleagues.
  • \t
  • Developing, implementing, improving, and enforcing budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • \t
  • Vendor Management, including 1099 reporting, unclaimed property, and banking information. 
  • \t
  • Reporting and reconciliations to ensure critical vendors are paid timely. 
  • \t
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner.

  • Review and approve monthly credit card expenses and funding requirements. 

Requirements for this position include the following:

  • Management experience in a remote working environment is required.

  • Accounts Payable experience.
  • \t
  • Extensive knowledge about accounting and management principles and Accounts Payable procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \t
  • Proficiency with computers, especially business solutions and accounting software.
  • \t
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
  • \t
  • Ability to analyze information and processes.
  • \t
  • Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • \t
  • Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial legislation.

  • Basic understanding of double-entry accounting.
  • \t
  • Proficient in all G-Suite programs and Microsoft Office Suite programs. Advanced level of Excel proficiency required (lookups, pivot tables, etc.).

Preference may be given to candidates who have the above experience plus the following:
