Technical Program Manager

Description -

Job Summary

This role is responsible for hands-on technical program management across analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases of large-scale, cloud-based software platforms and services. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical breadth to navigate complex dependencies, coordinate cross-functional and cross-organizational teams, and drive predictable delivery.

The role partners closely with engineering, product management, architecture, and operations to align on program approach, execution plans, quality expectations, and delivery readiness. This role is responsible for end-to-end program execution, risk management, issue resolution, and escalation for highly visible, business-critical initiatives within an established product and platform strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of complex, multi-team technical programs spanning multiple products, services, and organizations.

  • Drive cross-organization dependency management, including alignment across engineering, product, platform, security, operations, and external partner teams.

  • Support program execution for foundational platform and service capabilities, including API-driven, cloud, and data-intensive components.

  • Translate product plans and architectural direction into actionable execution plans, milestones, and delivery commitments.

  • Serve as a primary point of coordination and accountability for program status, risks, and delivery health.

  • Identify technical, architectural, and operational risks, and partner with engineering and architecture leaders to drive mitigation plans.

  • Lead release planning and readiness activities, ensuring alignment across development, validation, deployment, and post-release support.

  • Facilitate execution and technical trade-off discussions, escalating issues as needed to maintain delivery commitments.

  • Establish and track clear success criteria, milestones, and delivery metrics for complex initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement of execution practices, including planning rigor, dependency tracking, and cross-team coordination.

  • Communicate program progress, risks, and key issues through regular updates and reviews with stakeholders and leadership.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 7-10 years of experience supporting or leading complex technical programs, preferably in cloud, platform, or enterprise-scale software environments.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is$130,700to$205,200USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
