Job description

CarbonLink is growing, and we are searching for our next Carbon Farming Advisor (Business Development focus) to help drive new business and accelerate growth across the region. CarbonLink is one of Australia's most established names in soil carbon and carbon farming project development. We've helped shape this industry from the early days, combining science, practical delivery, and commercial execution to build projects that stand up over time.

We're known for executing with precision, clear advice, integrity, and methodical project pathways, delivering strong commercial outcomes with a mindset. About the role This is a remote position open to candidates located in Queensland. Other preferred locations include: Gladstone, Mackay, Emerald, or Roma.

As a Carbon Farming Advisor, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying, developing, and converting new opportunities, while balancing both sales and account management responsibilities. You'll build trusted client relationships, manage a structured sales pipeline, and support landholders through the early stages of the advisory journey. You do not need to be a carbon markets expert on day one.

You do need to be the type of person who can learn quickly, earn trust, and run a structured sales process from first conversation to signed agreement. Sitting within a close-knit Advisory team, you'll be responsible for booking and building your call cycle to visit customers. You'll be backed by a cross‐functional team across Science/Technical, Operations, Commercial and Marketing to keep your advice accurate and your deals moving.

This is a relationship‐led role where you'll drive new business and deliver measurable commercial outcomes for both our business and our clients across the agricultural sector. You will Drive new business through proactive outreach, engagement, nurturing early‐stage opportunities into long‐term client relationships. Identify and qualify carbon farming prospects across your territory.

Explain carbon farming concepts, method requirements, and ACCU Scheme considerations in a clear, practical way. Manage your sales pipeline with discipline, structure, and consistency from first engagement through to contract close. Work closely with internal teams to ensure advice, customer pathways, and commercial positioning are aligned.

Regularly travel across your allocated territory, including regional and remote properties, with interstate travel. Represent CarbonLink professionally at field days, workshops, conferences, and industry events. What success looks like You consistently drive portfolio growth by building and converting a high‐quality sales pipeline, in line with set targets to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

You build and maintain trusted client relationships, representing CarbonLink values. You successfully support landholders to make informed, commercially aligned decisions about soil carbon projects. You maintain accurate CRM records and strong follow‐through across all stages of engagement.

Specialists in your corner Technical and operational support that strengthens your advice and your success. Requirements Strong sales background with a minimum of 1‐2 years experience. Any sales experience is acceptable to meet the sales background requirement.

A valid Australian open driver licence (manual). Pass a police background check. Comfortable travelling across regional and remote properties.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs, CRM, and task management software. Capability to interpret and communicate technical and regulatory requirements. High agency and discipline to stay motivated and on track to meet expectations.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required. Desirable A degree in Agronomy/Agricultural Science is highly valued. Understanding of carbon methodologies and the ACCU Scheme.

Experience with contracts, proposals, or commercial documentation. GIS knowledge. HubSpot CRM experience.
