• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and methodologies, collaborating with the clinical team to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Document all client interactions and care plans accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards to maintain high-quality care.
• Serves as a critical liaison to local service systems, community partners, and state agencies to integrate services and enhance support networks.
• Participate actively in crisis intervention and support strategies, including developing pre-crisis plans and medication treatment plans.
• Lead efforts in developing and implementing positive behavior support plans while fostering effective communication across different agencies.
• Contribute to licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the quality standards of our clinic.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, conferences, and participation in task forces related to geriatric mental health.
• Promote our agency's mission and values in the community while seeking out new partnerships and funding opportunities.

Your primary focus will be on providing guidance and support to seniors facing various mental health issues. This includes addressing concerns related to grief, life transitions such as retirement or loss of independence, and emotional or behavioral challenges often associated with aging. Your expertise will be crucial in helping clients navigate these challenges with dignity and support.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid and current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in Florida.
• At least four years of recent, relevant experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support.

• Specialized training or coursework focused on geriatric mental health and related issues is highly desirable.
• Experience working with telehealth platforms and remote counseling services.
