Business Office Manager

Polaris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is a beautiful 100 bed facility located in Milford, DE.

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Interim Business Office Manager to join Polaris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, located in Milford, DE. This interim role is ideal for a professional with business office experience who can quickly step in to support daily operations and ensure continuity of financial and administrative processes.

Position Summary

The Interim Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the business office, including admissions financial coordination, accounts receivable, cash management, admissions financial coordination, and customer service. This position works closely with facility leadership, residents, families, and third-party payers to maintain accurate financial records and provide exceptional service.

Essential Responsibilities for the Interim Business Office Manager

  • Oversee daily business office operations.

  • Manage resident trust accounts, billing, collections, and accounts receivable.

  • Process Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private-pay billing.

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end business office activities.

  • Assist residents and families with financial questions and admission paperwork.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to support facility operations.

  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and external partners.

Qualifications for the Interim Business Office Manager

  • Previous Business Office Manager experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private-pay billing.

  • Experience with accounts receivable, collections, and resident trust funds.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
